An atmospheric river swept thru Northern California, dumping file rain and deep snow within the area. In Santa Rosa, the rainfall shattered a three-day file of about 10 inches set in October 2021.
The elements match happens when water evaporates into the air and is carried alongside via the wind. It adopted a bomb cyclone that hit the USA Pacific north-west and killed more than one other people.
BBC Climate has reported that the atmospheric river will proceed to transport eastwards.
